Fontaine Selected to Build East Bridgewater's New Junior/Senior High School

Fontaine Bros. was recently awarded the contract to build the New East Brigewater Junior/Senior High School and demolish the existing building located at 11 Plymouth Street. The construction of the new, 215,000 square foot school is set to begin in early September 2011, and the new building will be open for the 2013-2014 school year. The project also includes a new track and synthetic turf field for the Town and a waste water treatment facility.
The project is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification under the LEED for Schools 2009 system. Goals of the construction team include diverting more than 75% of construction waste from landfills, maintaining excellent indoor air quality throughout construction, and utilizing regional and recycled materials as often as possible.
The building was designed by Ai3 Architects of Wayland, MA and R.F. Walsh of Boston, MA is the Owner’s Project Manager on the project.
