New White St. Fire Station Achieves LEED Gold Certification

The New White St. Fire Station Project, constructed by Fontaine Bros., and designed by Dore & Whittier Architects of Burlington, VT/Newburyport, MA has achieved Gold Level Certification under the LEED for New Construction rating system. Green features of the project include an ultra-efficient heating and cooling system, the use of low VOC containing materials, and the incorporation of over 20% regional and recycled content into the materials used in the building.
